Porterfield Road

Porterfield Road, Kilmacolm

This renovation project altered a traditional, randomly converted, gate house with extensive redesign, based around the concept of a new central feature hall/entrance with an open plan kitchen/dining hub and a generous family room. Challenging consents were secured from the Council to allow the erection of a new detached double garage, which required substantial underbuilding construction to take account of demanding ground conditions. Close attention to detail and liaison with the Planners ensured successful negotiations at the application stages for the project, with only minor variations being required for formal Approvals. The commitment of the very discerning and completely committed owners, together with a very accommodating and dedicated Contractor, lead to the complete transformation of an existing disordered dwelling house and resulted in a new high quality family home to fully meet the clients' aspirations and design requirements, all completed within programme.
