This domestic development involved the Architect carrying out a detailed preliminary Feasibility Study investigating several varied options in order to allow the client to completely review and consider just how they would utilise their stunning traditional villa, both now and in the long term future. The proposed plans incorporated a new feature 'day to day' entrance/lobby leading onto relaxed lounging areas and open plan spacious living developing a social and focal hub within the property.
This relocated the existing kitchen into the south frontage area of the house and with significant structural alterations expanded the open plan living into adjacent under-utilised accommodation. Consideration was also given to form a comfortable but defined new link into the central hall of the 'traditional' villa while also carefully analysing future flexible use of new spaces for changing client needs over the extended life of the building.
Richard Robb Architects were involved from inception to completion securing all approvals, competitive tenders and successfully completing works within programme and budget. Close attention to detail lead to a completed scheme that fully met the clients' aspirations and requirements allowing large family groups and friends to gather and congregate in perfect surroundings.
